Is this a known issue with this model notebook? How can it be possibel for me to get two of them that don't work properly? How do I get this rectified? They had me turn off my Trend Micro antivirus and see if that stopped it shutting down, it lasted one day. I then called in to the Geek Squad support. I called Gateway for tech support and that was a HORRIBLE experience, possibly the least helpful tech support I've ever dealt with. Then.within 2 days.same issue.black screen with no warning or reason. So Oct 11th I go into the store and pick up my 2nd Gateway nv52 and this time I pay an additional $70 to have it 'optimized' by the Geek Squad. I then returned that one and waited 2 weeks to pick up another one since they were out of stock and the price had gone back up. I then returned it and purchased the gateway nv52 which is an awesome notebook for the price, but within a day or so it began shutting itself down going to to black screen with HDD activity. I had an HP first and its optical drive wouldn't read cds/dvds. I am about to return the third one shortly.
In the past month I have purchased 3 notebook computers with weird issues from BestBuy and have returned 2 of them so far.
